I was asked to design a logo for an education award to be awarded to school districts that were innovative leaders in providing secured endpoint technology to their students. Given the parameters that this revolved around the theme of "safe, smart and secure students", I decided to play on the alliteration of the letter "S" in this theme and incorporated it into the design as a trail pathway surrounded by books to tie it in with education. I actually started with the design of a black and white version first as it was to be used on the awards, and then colourized them for use in print.
